About Lee - Community-Based Background and Interests
My community-based work has helped shape my acupuncture practice. While my practice is open to absolutely everyone, there are a few communities I have a particular commitment to working with.
I aim to provide a safe and healing space for people with psychiatric diagnoses and/or people with self-identified mental health issues. I have done acupuncture clinics for the Wildflower Alliance, the Freedom Center, and the Recover Project.
I also enjoy providing acupuncture and safe, healing spaces for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex people. I have helped organise monthly acupuncture clinics for the queer youth organisation Bseedz in Denver, Colorado and Out Now in Massachusetts.
I helped start the Denver Childcare Collective and I love working with children, parents, and parents to-be.
I strive to support people doing social justice organizing and people who are survivors of interpersonal and/or institutional violence.
In my efforts to work against interpersonal and institutional violence I have helped create Denver's Transformative Justice Collective.
I also aim to provide a comfortable space for polyamorous and/or non-monogamous folks.
